Gonzales – Costa Rican coconut art
This time it took me a long time to find talent. It was like a treasure hunt where I could only succeed by virtually asking everyone in Puerto Viejo where the hell I could find this coconut artist whose work I’d seen in a shop somewhere. Finally I found him at the Caribbean seaside, enjoying his life at the sea. Talent has to be discovered and it’s very worthwhile searching for it when it turns out to be someone like Pablo “Sebastian” Gonzales. A multi-talent from Costa Rica whose coconut art stands out in any shop and whose music is so catchy that you wonder why the fish don’t simply catch, fry and eat themselves. All the more reason to be surprised that he has yet to be discovered!
Gonzales composed and performed the song in this video especially for me, because my name is Elmar. Enjoy!
The full uncut song here.
As before, I took a little gamble to buy some of his work and send it to Holland for you to purchase. Prices are as follows:
Earrings (6 USD) = Gonzales: € 4,40 + Sending cost: € 1,50 + My coconut: € 0,80 + 6 % tax: € 0,40 = € 7,10
Necklace blanc (4 USD) = Gonzales: € 2,90 + sending cost: € 1,50 + My coconut: € 0,80 + € 0,30 = € 5,50
Bracelet (4 USD) = Gonzales: € 2,90 + sending cost: € 1,50 + My coconut: € 0,80 + € 0,30 = € 5,50
Necklace brown/blanc (6 USD) = Gonzales: € 4,40 + Sending cost: € 1,50 + My coconut: € 0,80 + 6 % tax: € 0,40 = € 7,10
My coconut is the extra-special-designed-GTP-coconut-bracelet which you can see at the end. I gave Gonzales 15 USD for that. Help me pay for it by buying one of the friend-and-family-envying-coconut-jewellery below. The jewellery can be picked up either in Utrecht or in Lochem. First come, first served! (in the comments so others can see your claim!)
